Each batch of blankets went straight to the communities and shelters that needed them most. Here is how the 1 785 blankets were delivered.
A blanket on a cold pavement is a comfort, but it isn't an answer. So we partnered with shelters and community groups already working in areas like Westbury and Newclare. Every blanket helps equip a shelter bed, which means shelters can take one more person in off the street, this winter and beyond.
Each blanket is a warm night, a measure of dignity, and a door held open for someone who had nowhere else to turn.
Our blankets were supplied by A Moosa Blankets, at an average cost of R 111 per blanket, keeping costs low so every Rand stretched further.
